This Privacy Policy describes how K12Stars LLC (“K12Stars,” “Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, stores, protects, and shares information through the K12Stars platform, including our mobile applications, websites, digital albums, printed products, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).
K12Stars is committed to protecting the privacy and safety of children, families, coaches, and sports organizations using our services.
1. INTRODUCTION
K12Stars is a sport-tech platform designed for youth athletes, parents, coaches, and sports organizations. The Platform allows users to participate in interactive digital and printed sports albums, educational content, and gameplay experiences focused on sports participation and life skills development.
Because our Platform may be used by minors, K12Stars applies enhanced privacy and child protection standards.
2. COMPLIANCE WITH U.S. CHILD PRIVACY LAWS
K12Stars is designed to comply with applicable United States laws and regulations, including:
- Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act
- Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (where applicable)
- Applicable state privacy, publicity, and child protection laws
- Consumer protection and digital commerce laws
K12Stars requires parental or legal guardian consent for all users under 18 years old.

A. Player Information
- First and last name
- Year of birth or age range
- Nationality
- Team name
- Jersey number
- Sports position
B. Photographs and Likeness
- Selfies or uploaded photos used to create digital stickers and album content
- Team photos or event-related sports images
C. Parent / Guardian Information
- Name
- Email address
- Consent and verification records
- Payment information (processed through third-party payment providers)
D. Usage and Technical Information
- Device information, including device identifiers and advertising identifiers
- IP address
- Browser or mobile device data
- Gameplay activity and interactions
- App analytics and engagement metrics, including data collected through Firebase (Google Analytics and Crashlytics)
- Diagnostic and performance data used to identify and fix technical issues
4. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
K12Stars uses collected information to:
- Operate and maintain the Platform
- Create digital and printed sports albums
- Enable gameplay and trading features
- Personalize user experiences
- Provide customer support
- Process purchases and subscriptions
- Improve Platform functionality and safety
- Communicate with users, parents, coaches, and clubs
- Comply with legal obligations
K12Stars does not sell personal information of children.
5. PARENTAL CONSENT
A. Consent Requirement
Users under 18 years old may only use the Platform with authorization from a parent or legal guardian.
For children under 13, K12Stars obtains verifiable parental consent in accordance with COPPA.
For users aged 13–17, K12Stars still requires parental authorization as part of its child protection policies.
B. Parent Confirmation
By creating or approving a child account, the parent or legal guardian confirms that:
- They are legally authorized to provide consent
- They approve the child’s participation in K12Stars
- They agree to this Privacy Policy and the Terms & Conditions
6. IMAGE, PHOTO, AND LIKENESS CONSENT
By accepting this Privacy Policy, the parent or legal guardian grants K12Stars LLC a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to use the child’s:
- Name
- Image
- Photograph
- Likeness
- Team affiliation
for the following purposes:
A. Platform Operations
- Digital albums
- Printed albums
- Team features and gameplay functionality
- User profiles and collectibles
B. Limited Promotional Use
K12Stars may use images and likenesses for:
- Product demonstrations
- Social media posts
- Marketing presentations
- Sponsor presentations
- Promotional materials related to the Platform
Important Safeguards
K12Stars:
- Will not publicly disclose sensitive child information
- Will not knowingly use a child’s image in a harmful or inappropriate manner
- Will not imply endorsement of third-party products without additional consent
7. SPONSORS AND THIRD-PARTY BRAND CONTENT
The Platform may contain sponsor or brand content integrated into albums or experiences.
A child’s image may appear within the same environment as sponsor materials; however:
- Children are not considered endorsers of sponsor products or services
- K12Stars does not knowingly allow targeted advertising directed at children based on sensitive personal information
8. INFORMATION SHARING
K12Stars may share limited information with:
- Sports clubs or teams participating in the Platform
- Printing and fulfillment providers
- Cloud hosting and technology providers
- Payment processors
- Legal or regulatory authorities when required by law
K12Stars does not sell or rent children’s personal information to third parties.
9. DATA SECURITY
K12Stars implements reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including:
- Secure cloud storage
- Access controls
- Encrypted communications where appropriate
- Restricted internal access to child data
However, no online system can guarantee absolute security.
10. CHILD SAFETY AND COMMUNITY PROTECTION
K12Stars is designed as a controlled, team-oriented environment.
We take measures intended to:
- Limit unauthorized public exposure of children
- Restrict inappropriate interactions
- Maintain safe and age-appropriate content standards
K12Stars reserves the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate child safety policies.
11. PARENTAL RIGHTS

- Request deletion of data
- Withdraw consent at any time

When information is no longer necessary, K12Stars may delete or anonymize it.
13. COOKIES AND ANALYTICS
K12Stars may use cookies, analytics tools, and similar technologies to:

- Maintain account functionality
We do not knowingly use behavioral advertising practices prohibited by COPPA.
14. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

- Firebase (Google), used for analytics and crash reporting, which may collect device and advertising identifiers to help us understand app performance and usage
- Google Play services, which may access device or advertising identifiers as required to operate and support the Platform
These providers may have independent privacy practices. Certain device or advertising identifiers may be collected and processed by Google in accordance with Google’s own privacy policy.
15. INTERNATIONAL USERS
K12Stars operates in the United States. By using the Platform, users understand that information may be processed and stored in the United States.
16. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
K12Stars may update this Privacy Policy periodically.
Material changes may be communicated through:
- Email notifications
- Platform notices
- Updated website postings
Continued use of the Platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
17. TERMS & CONDITIONS INTEGRATION
This Privacy Policy forms an integral part of the K12Stars Terms & Conditions.
Parents or legal guardians must actively acknowledge and accept:

- The Terms & Conditions
before a minor may use the Platform.
18. ACCOUNT DELETION
If you, or your child’s parent or legal guardian, would like to delete a K12Stars account and its associated personal data, you can request this at any time by emailing delete@k12stars.com from the email address associated with the account.
To help us verify and process your request quickly, please include:
- The full name and username associated with the account
- The email address used to register
- Team or club name, if applicable
We will confirm receipt of your request and process account deletion within a reasonable timeframe, typically within 30 days. Deleting an account removes the associated profile, photos, and personal information from the Platform, except where we are required to retain certain information to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements (see Section 12, Data Retention).
